This rosa mosa Croissant-coincase is modelled on the Viennese Kipferl, a long time forerunner of the French croissant. The so-called “Viennoiseries” (things of Vienna) became all the rage in France after the Austrian entrepreneur August Zang opened his bakery in Paris in 1839, and is still en vogue up to this day.
